Welcome to the eighth issue of the [REDACTED] Digest!

With the final stretch of the [REDACTED] Hackathon just ahead, we’re here to help you make the most of the last few days and ensure you're ready to submit your project!

Events This Week:

3. Friday, October 25th - Friday Night with Frol

Get a tutorial on building with Rust and NEAR  from Vlad Frol, a seasoned NEAR developer.

Important Submission Reminders:

As you prepare your [REDACTED] Hackathon submission, make sure it meets these key requirements:

  • Project Requirements: Must be built with the required developer tools and adhere to the rules.

  • Open Source Code: Submit your project’s open-source code via a public repository, using an approved license such as MIT, Apache 2.0, or BSD-3-Clause.

  • Project Description: Include a clear explanation of your project’s features and functionality, as well as the Track it’s being submitted under. If applying for a Sponsor Prize, explain how your project meets their specific requirements.

  • Demo Video: Provide a video no longer than 3 minutes showing your project in action. The video should be publicly accessible on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

  • Track Selection: Select the appropriate Track for your submission.

  • Ownership: Your project must be your original work and not violate any intellectual property rights.

  • Access for Judging: Provide a link to a functioning demo or test build with access for judges.

You can now publish your draft submission on Devpost. Don’t worry—you can still edit your submission until the final deadline on October 31, 2024. Make sure to submit your project early to avoid last-minute issues. Check out Devpost's official guide on how to submit for more details!

Special Quest at the IRL Event:

The fun doesn’t end with the online hackathon—there’s more excitement awaiting at the [REDACTED] IRL event in Bangkok! We’re teasing a special quest where participants will need to solve technical challenges, uncover hidden clues, and interact with smart contracts to claim a prize. You’ll need to stay sharp, attend key talks, and keep an eye out for subtle hints throughout the event. Team up or go solo, but remember—the challenge will test your technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

More details will be revealed during the event, so get ready for an adventure!
