IRL [REDACTED] Travel Stipends
Hey hackers!
You asked, and we delivered. Following up on multiple discussions in our community channels, here are your guidelines regarding the travel stipend for the hackers participating in the IRL [REDACTED] movement in Bangkok, Thailand.
NEAR DevHub is offering $20k in travel stipends to ensure our hackers can cover some of their travel expenses. We’re issuing one-time travel grants to registered hackers who show up in person and successfully submit a project that meets our submission criteria:

Up to $250 to those travelling from cities within Thailand (other than Bangkok)

Up to $500 to those travelling from Southeast Asia countries

Up to $1000 to those travelling from overseas (US, Canada, LATAM, Africa and any other country not on our sanctioned list
To be eligible for this stipend, you have to be an experienced NEAR hacker and have a proven track record to include in your stipend application:

A link to your project(s) submitted to one of the previous NEAR hackathons including but not limited to NEARCON IRL Hackathon, MetaBUILD etc.

A link to your ETHGlobal hackathon project(s) (any edition)

A link to your project submitted to any of the hackathons NEAR sponsored in the last 2 years.
Here’s how to get your travel stipend in 5 easy steps:

Post a public proposal to the Events Committee proposal board (be sure to include your track record and travel itinerary) by November 1st, 2024

Receive an attestation from one or more of NEAR DevHub core contributors

Submit an eligible project and update your proposal with a Devpost submission page URL

Show up at [REDACTED] in person

Get your stipend!
One hacking team can apply for multiple stipends. The stipends are capped at a total of $20k and are issued on the first-come, first-served basis. The stipends will be issued throughout 60 days after the hackathon results are announced.
